About This Program

Exercise as prescription. Science-backed training for women managing and preventing disease.

Obesity is a metabolic energy imbalance. Over time it drives other metabolic diseases to the surface — conditions that are largely preventable through lifestyle change. At Fitness Lab, we treat exercise as a prescription. Our Medical Exercise programme is designed around the science of metabolic health, informed by founder Sarah Kamal's published research and clinical understanding. This is not general fitness. This is targeted, purposeful training that creates a genuine metabolic shift.

Who it’s forWomen managing Type 2 diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular risk factors or other lifestyle-related conditions. Women on GLP-1 medication who want to optimise results with structured exercise. Women who want a science-based approach to long-term health.
Key benefit: Sarah Kamal's second book — Exercise and Nutrition for Disease — is the scientific foundation of this programme. Available at Fitness Lab and online.
